This is not the problem. the problem is for people who are already outlaws and will never have the option of fixing their sec.
Superb!
Yup, my sec status is fine. Guess I'll just have to cull some easy war targets instead

Its not only "pirates" that have low sec.
I've killed a few people in low sec that attacked my buddies. I lose sec status for this. It'a a game. I dont want to grind for months to make that back up.
Give me a sec increase for every npc kill then. I get a loss for every naughty act.

By thier actions it is no quite clear that they are attempting to make criminal professions more realistic by making them so unattractive that only an idiot would choose them.
Now put down that tachyon laser cannon and pick up a mining laser, its not that hard to be a productive member of society.
Or in other words, get a job.
This is quite possibly the saddest post in the hitory of the boards.
I HAVE a job.
EVE is a game

1. Fleet Battle Optimization- Missiles no longer collide with any object other than their target. - I think gameplay wise its a bad move, but if it helps speed up fleet battles then i'm all for it. Just someday when the cluster can afford it, would be nice to revert this change.
Yes, an engagement between 10 battleships lasts, what, 2 minutes. Lets speed it up

Great response! Only problem is, people sampling what piracy has to offer. The current crop of players can probably make an informed choice, but people coming into the game now will have to make a committment to the low sec status life the moment they give it a try.
Pretty simple answer that's already been posted here: don't podkill. Industrials aren't very cheap, you're getting their cargo, and really, on newer players clones are so cheap that what's the point? If you don't podkill, you won't take a cataclysmic hit in sec for a few shipkills.
Removing this bug is really sorting out who the real pirates are from the mere "punks". I notice not a single Snigg has whined about this yet.
Read the whole thread.
Carefully this time.

Originally by: Oveur 1. Putting more people into 0.1 - 0.4 creates more targets for pirates and gets the people that are there more used to the risk and encourages them to move out to 0.0.
2. If a pirate can not handle getting negative security status for taking out targets in 0.1 - 0.4, he should a) go into 0.0 or b) pick up a miner. Saying "no I can't go into 0.0 to pirate, because the Alliances are there and they shoot me" will put your name in my new book called "Carebear Pirates - Coming out of the closet"
3. The Blood Raider move is necessary for prime fiction, and making Blood Raiders a real pirate faction. We now have high end Blood Raider battleship Commanders and Officers in addition to enabling real Blood Raider Complexes. They are currently taking 3 constellations and will only have Constellation Sovereignty, not region. Actually, as far as I know, a Blood Raider representative discussed these changes with a representative of the local populace some days ago, I suggest you take your suggestion for changes through that representative - he has the power to change this.
Actually Oveur, all the carebear pirates are in .5+
They are declaring war on soft targets for only 2million a week.
Go figure.

Quote: Look at your map. There are tons of low sec places surrounded by high sec. Meaning a "true" pirate can't possible get there. Moreover, you can stuck there and wont be able to get out.
Ok did the IQs of pirates in this game suddenly drop 20 points with the release of the patch notes. What part of NWO don't you understand. Maybe you should go back and read the Dev Blog about it.
The map is going to change quit alot do to the seperation of the factions as well as removal of some highway systems. Judging by what I've read high sec space will be circled by low sec so no pirate will be trapped between high sec regions.
Please do a little more research before you start whining all over the forums.
Great patch although I'm still a little worried about Tomb's missile nerf.
Oh and about time being a murderous bastard has a penalty associated with it.
So until the NWO is implemented SOON(TM) what are the affected people meant to do?
If they make the change then it makes sense to make the counter change (map) at the same time.
Talking about stupid, what would you call someone who loses a megathron at a gate in a war and then brings a helios through that same gate less than an hour later to be bbq'd?
Don't talk about other peoples intelligence

From the patch notes: "Highways that connected the new Minmatar / Gallente blocks with the Amarr / Caldari blocks have been closed Close to 40 jumps have been added into and throughout 0.0 space"
Seems a bit more than tweaking to me.
Still not the NWO

You realise that "capacitor" and "power" are two different things? All things being equal you can NEVER run out of power in the middle of a trip. In other words your problem isn't a problem at all.
Enjoy your new game. I hope you can find one dumbed down enough for your tastes.

Finally, my last concern is in regards to people who have very bad security status, who either purchase someone elses character with isk...
The amount of sympathy I have for the problems of people who buy characters: almost indistinguishable from zero.
If you cared that little you wouldn't have posted.
